BEWARE OF MANUFACTURERS WHO TELL YOU THAT FEDERAL INSIGNIA DOES NOT APPLY!! Once you buy a trailer that doesn't meet Federal codes you will not be legal to use it. Most Health departments are aware of this and will ask you for the Insignia.

(Sub-standard units are a nightmare for the owner. They are an accident waiting to happen. They often are a fire hazard, improperly balanced, poorly (cheaply) built and can result in the injury or death of the operator.)

BEWARE OF CUT RATE MANUFACTURERS

CUT RATE MANUFACTURERS WILL PRICE YOU EXTREMELY LOW. Especially in these economic times. THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN DO THIS IS IF THEY ARE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. They build sub-standard units.... don't pay their vendors.... then go out of business!! You are left with a unit that doesn't pass codes, and soon no company to file suit against. What a NIGHTMARE!!

What are you really getting for your money? It may LOOK like you are getting a good deal for your money, but you're NOT. What you WILL GET is very sub standard construction with unapproved materials, equipment strapped to the walls, pipes running across the walls, low quality insulation (if any), exposed plumbing, non NSF equipment, incorrect dimensions, the wrong size sinks, wrong size water tanks, wrong size waste tanks, wrong size windows, wrong size water heater ( or an instant one that doesn't reach the health approved temperature) And maybe that's ok with you.

But the real problems come when you get your concession trailer home. You try to get your health approval and find out that they lied when they told you it would pass. (Some of them even tell you they called your health department. What good is that if they ask the wrong questions?)

We are aware of several companies that regularly Fraud customers. These companies could care less when you get your trailer and the only way to make it pass code is to chop it and redesign it, of which the price is at least the difference between theirs and ours before you add the price of tear down.

Basically it costs more to fix their trailer than if you had bought one that is manufactured correctly in the first place.

WHAT'S THE WORST THAT COULD HAPPEN?

Besides the safety issues mentioned above;

If the unit doesn't pass codes you are in a whole new world of red tape. Note: the previous owner could show you papers where he was permitted last year or even this year, but many are grandfathered, which means that as soon as it changes owners you must bring it to the new codes. There are several governing agencies regarding these units. The way they work is like a crap shoot. You try to understand the codes… they are cross referenced to other codes, that you must also understand, and then you must know all the other agencies that have regulations regarding the construction of the unit. So you have to submit plans (very detailed plans) and wait 21 days (or more)to get a response, if something is wrong they tell you your (BLANK) doesn't pass. You then have to find out why it doesn't pass and IF you can fix it. Then you resubmitt plans, wait 21 or more days again, and they tell you the next thing that doesn't pass. etc………Until you run out of money and miss your events/ opportunities. Or if you are doing special events you are told at the beginning of the event that you don't pass and to get it out of there. Your reputation is shattered and getting more events is extremely hard with a bad reputation.

That's not my Idea of saving money, and I don't think it's yours either.

These fraudulent companies write the contract so that you can't refuse delivery without losing your trailer and your money.

"Back Yard Builders" make all kinds of Empty Promises and usually can't or don't keep them, like a low Price, Quality, and Completion Date. Often that's all they are just Empty Promises!!
